The circles under our eyes are one of the most common problems. These problems can be corrected. Here are some useful care tips on how to have healthy eyes.
Get Enough Rest
The eyes are the most used part of our body. You usually feel dizzy or have a headache when you stay up too long. By getting enough sleep means lesser headaches. Rest is just an essential function of taking care of your eyes.
Eat Healthy Foods
Fruits and vegetables should always be included in your diet as they are great at taking care of the eyes. Yellow fruits and vegetables are usually the best. These fruits such as mangoes, squash, and papaya are rich in beta-carotene. These types of foods help to maintain and improve eye health.
Drink Plenty of Water
The skin around our eyes is full of blood vessels and is quite thin. By drinking plenty of water, puffiness around the eyes can be avoided. Our body has protective mechanisms that store a small amount of water each time we are dehydrated which results to puffiness. Drinking more than eight glasses of water a day helps the body flush toxins.
Do Eye Exercises
By exercising the eyes, it can supply more oxygen, which makes them function better. These exercises can be relaxing. In between work, close your eyes for a few seconds, and move the eyeballs around. Move your eyeballs up and down, then left to right. Another one is by holding a pen at arm’s length and slowly bringing it towards your nose. This will prevent blurred vision.
Stop Excessive Rubbing
Eyes are one of the most sensitive parts of the body. If you care about your eyes, it’s best to avoid rubbing them. This activity will only irritate the eyes. Blinking is the best thing you should do. Another ideal thing is to wash with milk if something gets in your eyes. Milk is a natural cleanser that does not cause irritation.
Always wear sunglasses when going out during the day. This will protect the eyes from the harmful sun rays. It helps to put tea bags or cucumber slices under your eyes while you rest. It can prevent wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes.
